I am still fairly new, but I am having a bit of driver envy at Master.  I can still compete with the Lvl 29 R11 but the Lvl 62 R9 seems to be the popular and logical choice to go to the next level.  Would I be better off waiting until Lvl 80 + to with higher end R9 or make the jump now?

The lvl 59 G10 & lvl 62 R9 are both worthy upgrades for the master tees.

With the lvl 80 R9, you best be deadly accurate (and patient).

Follow up with the lvl 58/59 G10 3 wood and irons.

Dropping the hybrid and adding the lvl 38/39 54 & 60 degree Z Satin TP wedge and your set.....until You make legend or lvl 80+

    Happy hitting!

IMO all I can say is the Lvl 62 R9 is doing me fine and I love it, no need to wait or buy the Lvl80.

It's not as forgiving as you current driver and has a slighter faster meter speed, but it is great into head winds due to its lower flight (can keep up with the Lvl 88 R11).

If you're unsure you could always rent it for the day, YOU need to be happy with the club and how it fits in with the rest of your bag.

    hope this help.

IMO, go for the R9 now. The later model is only 5 yards longer but it also comes with a much faster meter. I used it until the later one came out and was very happy with the way it made a difference. Besides, those 17 levels to get there will take you some time anyway.

i reached Master & got that lofty R11 & it's a great driver. Only prob is, it aint long enough to blast through heavy wind & real long holes,,,just can't get it up far enough.

So i have the R9 now the 8.0 and ,,it gets it up into attack range.

This R9 is hard to get used to,,but if you plan on getting better and getting into attack any pins,,you better get good with the long driver i.e. swing speed if you wanna progress.
