i have satin wedges (a54 60 and 64 all lvl37) and am trying to learn the punch shot. it reacts differently to full shots so how do i calculate wind and elevation?

I use satin 60 and 64... I don't have a formula, but they fly lower and run more than full wedges (like all punch shots); wind also has less of an effect. hitting uphill = more run, less bite. downhill, more spin. less than a full shot reduces the spin and increases run even more.

Wind also effects them less, say a wedge gets effected by 5 yards with 10 mph wind a punch shot might only get effected by 3 yards.  Punched shots are perfect for yardage gaps with your wedges.  If you give full spin, punch shots will stop dead, but remember, if you have say a 105 yard wedge, punched it is 87, if you give full spin it will only be say 84 or 85 yards (with callaways though)

As noted, you will find them (wedge punch shots) invaluable as a yardage gap filler between clubs.

Also as noted, they have a lower trajectory and more roll than a full shot, so I wouldn't recommend the punch when approaching an elevated green with the pin cut close to the front. (Think  BPB #2 or #15 in this context.)

The wedge punch is also great on the green for getting over long stretches with tough breaks. You'll need to experiment for distances, as you'll only get ~half the yardage compared to the same shot off fairway or fringe.
