    Hello all,

  Only been around for a week, and have read some good guides.

  I've searched the forums, but haven't found anything on the following:

  Has there been anything written on actual ball flight carry distances, or if there's a general ratio "rule" of flight-to-roll?

  i think irons are way to varied to be able to write a guide for them. generally rule for me, is carry + 15 run but it will change dramatically with different irons and spin and type of ball you use.

  You'd have to map it out yourself, with your own clubs and ball, in practice mode, using different spins. In very general terms, the lower the iron, the lower the ball flight, the greater the amount of roll vs. carry. So a 3 iron with no spin and no wind, on a flat surface, will fly, say, 175 and roll 35, and a PW will fly 100 and roll 5.
