    I play with L35 and L95 balls.

What I've noticed lately is that the L35 balls have become a lot faster. There shouldn't be too much difference between 3.5 and 4 speed. However, it is. 3.5 is way too fast, more like a 2.5 or 3. And 4 is too slow.

I find the meter speed varies somewhat with any ball. Just part of the game is the way I think of it. The better more costly balls do have a more stable speed, but they also do vary though not as much. Just my opinion for how the game plays for me.

That's because the stated meter speed of the L35 (Callie) actually is 2,5. No idea where you got that 3,5 number from...

I think it's more of a personal perception.

For me, I feel the balls with 2.5 - 3.0 speed are pretty much the same while those with 3.5 - 4.0 are relatively much slower, almost like there's a sudden "jump-over", a marked difference (gap) between the two groups. And of course, the balls with 5.0 or slower speed belong to a completely different league...

I would mostly agree with Simon, although for me I'd expand it out a little.  I've kind of settled in to the L61 3.5 speed as my "every day ball", but I don't notice a dramatic difference between that and a 2.5 freebie that I might use in skins or CTTH when I don't want to waste ball hits.  I do notice a large difference at anything 2 or below though.  I have also used the Max Slow Meter Pro @ 5 speed, and it is markedly slower - almost too slow.

    So i guess I would have 3 categories: Super Fast = 0-2; Medium = 2.5-4; Super Slow = 4.5-7.

Try to prove your statement by doing this:
