I have played several showdown tournaments and noticed a trend which I do not understand. As most who play showdowns know, there is a qualifying round and then an elimination round. If the better golfers made the top 50 cut in the qualifying round, why is it I see scores of 6, 7, 8, .....12, 13, 14 over par in the elimination round? How did these individuals get to the elimination round?
