Hi. I'm a newbie too. I really appreciated the free rental this past weekend, unfortunately, I didn't see ANY improvement what so ever with ANY of the clubs and putter combinations I rented. No. I noticed a real difference in the effects, just that my game still sucks. I think I still need more prctice if I'm going to benefit from ugrading clubs. But one thing I did notice in the putters was the way you got to toggle your footage. I did better puting with the Ping I could rent. It went down to fifteen feet. And that really helps when I'm like 7 feet from the hole as opposed to 30 feet with the stock putter. I've never used then EZ swings, so I don't know how good they are.

But i think when I finally get good enough to buy a better putter and have it actually imptove things, I'll look for one that scrolls down pretty low.

Yep, I agree 100% with that.  That was one thing I really did not like about the Spider.  Aside from that club, all the other ones had 15 foot meters if I remember right.  If you want more info, see this thread: http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/72948.aspx
