I have 3 brands of balls that I purchased. During a round I get a message that i am low on hits on my current ball. How to you change out balls during a round especially if you're on a 45-60 second timer? Also, how do you know how much golf you can play on one sleeve of balls?

You can't switch balls in the middle of a round. The game will continue using balls of the type you started with until you run out of them (either by using them up or losing them.) The game will then give you the option to buy more of that type when you run out. If you decide not to buy any, the game sticks you with the Starter ball for the rest of the round.

How much you can play on a sleeve depends on the Durability rating of the ball. I don't know if anyone has counted the number of hits you get with a particular ball. There's just that little graph that gives you a rough idea of how much life is left in a ball while you're playing, and you get the message when there's one hit left.

The number of strokes for most of the balls is around 120 (putts do not count as hits, unless when putting from the fringe).

In many golf video games, changing balls during a round is not typically possible. Choose your ball wisely at the start, conserve hits, and be mindful of durability. Check your inventory for available balls and experiment with different ones in practice rounds. The game should provide information on remaining hits or durability.

A sleeve of 2,5 dots of duration balls lasts for 10 18-hole rounds, providing you hit GIR and not play best of par 3s or 5s.

Far bottom right of the screen while you're playing.  It says Hits underneath it.  That's where it is on the app when I'm playing on iPad. Not sure if that's where it's located for everybody.
