If you may looking to play a few rounds a week in events in a club that has excellent attendance and doesn't require face-to-face play, consider us!
WGT PINHUNTERS is a small (currently 16 members) but active club with several types of leagues and events. What we don't have is anything requiring face to face play, so you won't have to use Skype, Discord or whatever else is around now.
Here are our events and leagues:
* A "Pinhunters Tour", which is modeled along the lines of the actual PGA tour. Two 18 hole rounds per weekly event, on the same course (3 rounds for the majors).
* A Round Robin League, in which members play vs. each other in 9 hole matches, 3 matches per week.
* A Team League in which players with lower averages have a higher average player as their partner. One 9 hole round every 5 days. Close results and tight standings are the norm! (currently inactive because we need more players!)
* A monthly Double Elimination tournament in which players aren't eliminated until they lose two of their 9 hole matches.
* A Weekend League which consists of an 18 hole round and a 9 hole CTTH round.
---> None of those events/leagues require actual heads-up face to face play, simply play at your convenience.
We use the CHALLONGE website to maintain current standings, results, scores, etc. Our admins take care of posting all scores, etc., all you need to do is play!
All that we ask of our members is that they participate in at least some of these events - some of us play in all of them!
We do not have those "lower your average" unlimited play tournaments where all holes are from the forward tees, etc. What we do have is a bunch of nice friendly people, most of us have been in this club for several years.
