Heard this on the radio back during the US Open:

Could you beat a tour pro on a major championship setup, if:

    1. You start every hole on the green

    2. The pro plays every hole from the tee through hole-out

    3. The pro gets to pick the spot on the green you start from

This means if the pro would shoot a 72 every round, that gives you a 4-putt every hole to tie.  Now keep in mind some of the spots they could put you in on the greens.  I'm not a great putter, but not horrible either, and can see myself putting off the green several times per round and having to chip back onto slippery slopes and possibly having the ball shoot over the other side of the green or rolling right back to my feet.

I think I might stand a chance at The Open Championship courses (generally flatter and slower Stimp), but no way at the others.

What's your opinion on how you'd do?
