3 2 1 . . . Back in the room!
I shall have to rely on you to organise a game, Simon, so could you contact me at some stage, please, and we can set it up. Many thanks.
Btw, I should have made it clear that, when I wrote the above post, it was only a day or two after I rejoined WGT following a break of approximately twelve years! I had been signing in every day for 4 or 5 years, building my XP.
Then I went on a holiday abroad where the destination had no internet.
When I returned, my XP was, of course, erased entirely and set back to zero.
My feeling was that it would not be unreasonable for clients to expect there to be an arrangement available whereby XP accounts could be temporarily 'frozen' in exceptional circumstances.
WGT's response was negative and unbending.
Basically, I had a hissy fit. Pram - thrown -toys - are words that come to mind, and so I decided to rid myself of the daily burden.
Returning to the present day, I was forced into retirement when my family business of 41 years was wiped out in the Covid epidemic.
At the same time, due to ill health, my real golf handicap crashed from single figure and, under the new (ridiculous) american system, rose by a factor of four!
A multiple whammy!
I think I can hear the faint sound of tiny violins playing, so I shall bid you farewell, Simon, and hope to hear from you again. Kind regards, Jonathan (Juanasteros).
