I have always used both, never have any pop ups or ads.
You don't have to be on chrome, they are available on Firefox too.

LOL. I knew that, Tess, was just explaining to hp but it turns out he was talking about something else. ;-)
p.s., IDK about Windows 7 but Vista has a really cool Snip tool that makes it really easy to get the part of the screen you want.
