    Well not literally but there is a certain tour champ who's name I shall not say who posts vids on YouTube and putts with no putter pal (putting blind) and does it with alarming accuracy.  Anyway, after watching a few of his vids I decided to have a go myself.   Pebble beach, no putter pal.  I was surprised how well I did, 4 over par.  I was wondering if any other player does this and how well they do.

    Hi Matty;

    I've joined WGT back in 2014.......and have NEVER putted using "Putter Pal".  Depending on the "green speed".....I do "calculate" my putts & then read the greens.

    My Putting Avg. is not very high though....only 42%. I've been putting on Championship speed greens for several years now.....as I reached the "Tour Champion Tier" approx. 2 yrs. after I joined WGT.

    For me, at least, the "Putter Pal" is confusing.....I also have never used "Shot Pal".

    Note my "Golf Equipment" on my Profile.  I don't have the BEST clubs available in the PRO Shop like many "Tour Champions" have.  The Putter I have been using for over 10 years now is "Level 19".

    One of things that I have found to be VERY important is to "read the WIND direction & speed" before any drive or approach shot. And anytime I believe my ball will hit the Green on ANY shot.....I pull the Flagstick before I make the shot...as I believe the Flagstick crowds the hole a bit. In the past, I have hit many chip shots & flop shots on the green...and my ball would bounce off of the Flagstick.  So, I pull the Flagstick...as I feel it increases the chances of my ball going in the hole.

    Yes, it IS possible I think to PUTT with a degree of accuracy without using "Putter Pal"....just lots of practice.  I play almost exclusively play 18 Hole rounds.

    I just now finished playing a PGA Tournament (18 holes, Championship speed greens")....and put up a score of "64".....a good score for me.

    Good Luck to you!

    Jim

    ???

    They introduced the TC tier only in December 2018, so your memory is way off to be justified by "approx".

    Geez... sayin' it over and over and over and over!

    I just rechecked your stats and umm... what you’re saying is… equipment DOES matter, eh? LOL

    Oh, and please do not bring up the number of eagles. I got that, you're the KING in that department. 😉👍👍
