Hey all. So the team is aware of this issue with the swing meter moving erratically for players on Windows using older/low spec hardware. I was working with Support, asking players that messaged in what hardware they were running, and seems to be affecting players that are using CPUs that have an initial release date of 10+ years ago and no dedicated GPU. Tried it on an older system of mine with an i7 from 5 generations ago (9700k) and a GTX 1080 and had no issues, even disconnecting my GPU and running on board graphics the game ran fine, but these older systems from 2008-2012 that players reported having issues on were experiencing this swing meter stutter.

If you are running newer hardware and are still seeing this swing meter issue, let me know and I can bring this up with the team. You can find your PC and CPU info by selecting the Windows Button, Settings, System, and then About. If you do a Google Search for your CPU model and "release date" this will give you when that CPU was released. For example, one player wrote in they were using an i3-370m, which was released in 2010.

Info was passed along to Q/A and they are looking into it. They are also aware of the issue with Callaway balls not rendering color correctly and avatar opacity not looking right (showing a dot/grid pattern when the avatar is translucent). Ball color and avatar opacity I would estimate being fixed in the next couple updates, but no news on the swing meter for these older systems.

So that's where the buck stops with me. Having to upgrade hardware.

I'm not flushed with spare cash.

2016 HP Slimline desktop PC for me.

    Windows 10 is OS.

My meter is awful. Even with fancy more expensive balls it is awful.

Please get this issue fixed asap.

Ridiculous to have a smooth meter with this PC and then after November update it is like this.

    Thanks,

    Michael

Would it be worth monitoring your system while playing to see if either your GPU (graphics) or CPU are overloaded?

    Here's a 'How to'...

    Hey my friend Scott!!

Have the feeling that we are starting to split hairs here. As you know, WGT is one of the lighter games out there. Have been playing with a 15 year old CPU and 8-10 year old GPU with no problem whatsoever. Things are very clear on this case. WGT messed up everything with this update and they have to figure out how to fix it. The days with the ''gospel'' check your connection and clear your cashe and cookies  are long dead and burried.

In my opinion after reading the thread, it's not Microsoft's fault. The win 7 it's kinda a random thing and has nothing to do with the last updates. To enforce this argument is the fact that people with various OS (10-11, IOS) are having the same issues, exclude the possibility that is OS's fault.

Yiannis....  Would you mind sharing your system info?

    I'm running Win7 on a Dell Optiplex 990 with an I7-2600 @ 3.4Ghz w/ 8Gig memory and Intel HD onboard graphics.

Hi Yiannis, wherever the fault does lie, I'm sure that people would like to eliminate their own set up from the issue, and the system monitor helps to show how stressed their system is while playing.

I agree with you that this game is not a heavy load on our computers, an animated golfer and a bar going across the screen is not much work for a GPU, whether discrete or integrated.
