    Background:

I've been playing for several years.

Every improvement I've made in WGT over the years has been from members who have been really helpful in varying ways.

Just a few months ago, I finally researched & discovered all the great videos, spreadsheets, formulas and tips on the math & physics of the game. Unlike "I play by feel" players who really do the math/physics in their head, I live in spreadsheets.

That's helped me as I try to push beyond Master level. Brought my ranked average down from over 80 to 75.23 (it's a slow grind to move the needle after too many years not applying the math/physics).

Yeah, I know, when I reach Legend, I'll complain I should have stayed at Master level given how I have really good clubs.

I am in a CC.  Minimal chat. No in-CC events. At all.

I'm 18th on the club XP contributions list. Great for my ego. Except it's just 119,995 XP points.

I'm not good consistently enough yet to be great in CC clashes. Nearly all my club XP is from turf wars. I LOVE turf wars.

    QUESTION:

Would I benefit from being in a more active club? One that puts on in-club events?

I read about others and sometimes see how they can be helpful to members wanting to improve in a friendly environment.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    Side note:

I dream of the day I can play in WGT tournaments and score in the 60s.

Update - pushing myself, I got my ranked average down to 75.03 last night. I am determined to improve. That's why I'm wondering if a more active CC would be helpful

Joining a cc that communicates on discord would improve your game and your gaming experience.

Yes, you would benefit from being in an active club.  You can get advice on everything from balls/clubs to what types of shots the better players are using in certain situations, and much more.

As @dhjam pointed out, if you can find one that actively uses Discord all the better.  You can set up matches with better players and get "in game lessons" by watching them stream their game (or having them watch you as you stream).  No to mention a larger, more active club will have more events to participate in (both just for bragging rights and ones for credits), plus you'll benefit from the added XP you'll get with every game to help in leveling up to the better clubs.  Depending on how active you are, some of our club members even donate clubs/balls to up-and-coming members on occasion.

If you are interested you can send me a WGT Friend Request and we can discuss the benefits Grand Traditions might be able to offer you.  One caveat is that we do about 95% of our communication on Discord.  You are not required to be part of our Discord community to be part of the club, but it's strongly recommended for the benefits mentioned above and the ability to find multi-player games.
