Hmm...  this may work on slower greens but I highly doubt this will work on tourney or championship greens.   Having accuracy on the strength of putts on the faster greens is very important.  Interesting tip though for those that have meter problems.... which most can handle when it comes to putting.

Overall.. no offense... I don't think this tip is very helpful.

That style works great on any green speed. What they are talking about is this. Say you have a putt that needs to be hit with 12 foot strength. With a male avatar the Rossa putter with the avatar movement style 1 movement on the 60 foot scale is 12 feet and the meter only has to move less than 1/4 of its total length making it much easier to hit the ding. Also with the meter having to move such a short distance it helps keep the meter for skipping nearly as much.  That tip originally came for one of the best players in the game who eventually went to work for WGT, Nivlac aka WGTniv.

No offense taken. Speed is the key all day. It's the biggest reason for lip outs. Just as Sting pointed out, it works on all greens and is especially effective on the faster greens. You just have to know your putter. Like knowing one little avatar move on the 300 foot scale goes 43 feet. Way better than guessing  1/2 a swing on the 100, or something like that. PutterPal and rulers help a lot.

this is a graet tip ive been using it forever, myself

with my big ol' starter putter

if i need to hit it 12' .... i use my 60 foot scale .. so 1 movement and easier to ding, or control

if i need to hit it 15 feet, , 1 easy close movement of my 150 foot scale

etc.. now.. like everyone else.. learning the break !!!!!!!
