I am a tour master with a 61.04 avg.  when I use to shoot a - 4 or lower for 9 holes my avg would go down. but now it has stopped going down. I have shot several -5  9 holes rounds and my avg. still stays the same at 61.04 how come?

Because 9 hole scores are doubled and 31 times 2 = 62; your "average score" is really the average of your best rounds at your current tier, and you must have shot a lot of 62s (and/or 31s) already. Now you have to shoot better than that to lower it. When you haven't played a lot at your tier, any good score will lower your average, but the more you've played the better you have to shoot.

A couple of 30's will push you over the edge.

And a couple of weeks after that he'll wish he was a Tour Master again =)

Remember also that the average is based on the raw score, not the score against par. So a -5 on one 9 might be a 30 (x 2 = 60, lowering your average) while it might be a 31 on another 9 (x 2 = 62, not lowering your average).

After a certain number of ranked games it will only go down, perhaps a way for WGT not to drive customers away. What I think you've run into is at the Master tier, you need to buy better clubs; you've reached the point where 90% starter clubs just won't let you score low enough to bring your average down. You're not really getting worse!

PS Use a better ball too!
