This is just a "woe is me" post - had to tell someone what just happened. (so enjoy!) :)
Amateur 78 here. I've been averaging about 50% bogey rounds (ie, +8-9 over 18 holes). I only rarely got a birdie - like 3 total over 8 games or so. Just hit lvl 25 last night so upgraded clubs. Tried them on front 9 at Bethpage and did 'ok'. 37 (which is still over par if I recall).
So just now, I was playing full 18 at St. Andrews. And I was doing phenomenally. Placing drives in between the bunkers perfectly. Gauging the wind (and my tendencies to hit to the right) just splendidly. And these were the standard 18-20 mph winds. I got a few awards - long drivers, green-in-1 (boom boom?), and even back-to-back birdies! This was the best game I'd ever played here on WGT. Was like the preacher in Caddyshack.
If only the analogy wasn't so accurate.
After the tee shot on the 14th (or 15th), the game crashed and I lost it all. I was 3-4 under par at the time.
