First off, I think WGT has a very good product on the golf sim market. But there are a few things they could learn from an old golf sim such as LInks. Links gave the golfer the ability to add a 5W or 7W to their bag and pull out an iron to make the necessary room for the max number of clubs. Granted, WGT sells the iron sets as a whole but why dont they add a 5W or 7W to their product line and give the golfers the ability to break up the iron sets, to add these other options, depending on the course they are playing. In other words, still sell the iron sets a a whole but allow us to remove one of them to put another club in its place. Also maybe add a 2I to the mix for some of these folk playing this game. It would sure make the game a bit more interesting having the ability to mix and match woods and irons.

As for the left handed avatar, i am pretty much resigned to the fact that that will never happen. I have read the explanation about the mapping proceedure involved in making the change, but wonder why Links was able to have a left handed avatar. I have gotten used to the right handed avatar but it would be nice to play like the lefty that I am, where everything is the opposite of the righty. LOL. Us 5%'ers have rights don't we. LMAO. Otherwise keep up the good work and get some more courses to us, please.

Nice write up, but I personally believe they will never allow the irons to be split up which is silly since you they could make more money and left hand avatar will probably never happen as well.

Why don't you write your own game if you know so much?

Re: splitting up clubs, one of the admins explained long ago it was not possible without a major rewrite of codes, since the "sets" are programmed as such.  In order to split them up, each club would have to be written again.

That said, and for as many times this (splitting) has been suggested/requested, you would think they would have done it with the newer clubs released in the past year (Burners and R11's)

I really don't have any issue with splitting up iron sets and frankly once you get to a fairly high level, the first things to go are the hybrids.

Most of the better golfers carry the same stuff, a driver, a 3 wood, the 3 - pw iron set, a putter and 3 addition wedges.  When you hit 85% of the fairways as most of the better players do, the need for hybrids goes away and the length of the 3 irons, 225 with the R11's bridge the gap to the 3 wood well.  You end up with a PW that goes 120 although you can punch to 103 so your gaps are from there down.

The R11's are set to have 15 yards between each club and work well with punch shots.  I know that everyone isn't a Legend and does not have the top clubs but as most of the players level up and progress to higher tiers they end up with that equipment and lose the need for a hybrid.
