    Hello everyone,

    Here' my question.

Currently I have my driver, wood, hybird and two Satin wedges(56 and 64) in my optional par of bag.

Would love to grab the 60 Satin and complete the trifecta. Although I don't really feel like taking the hybrid out of the picture. I know there is no room, but how the heck is my 90yrd starter wedge available alongside the two Satins when I play??

    THX!

It isn't in play. The starter irons are a waste of space. Buy these irons and you'll be hitting much better iron shots.

Also, drop the hybrid and buy this wedge. Learn to use the punch shot effectively with your wedges, giving you no yardage gaps.

Finally, learn to use the 3-wood punch from rough. It works far more effectively than you'd expect.

This is a bit confusing as I'm not sure what you mean unless you're referring to the PW that comes with the set you have. That will always be available. That HB is taking up room a wedge could occupy-the third in that trifecta. Ask yourself this-what would I use more in a typical round? That should point you in the right direction (of 3 wedges, IMO.)  GL

Yes, I was referring to the PW. I guess there is not way I can drop it? It is taking up precious room and with my 56 Satin, what is the point of it?

Dropping the HB does seem like an option in order to get the 60 Satin wedge in place of it, but then what do I do for the 185-210 yrd shots? Even though I don't use it THAT often, my HB does serve me well.

I guess without a really good upgrade of irons from my starter ones, I just have to rely on my 56 Satin for those 55-75 yard shots? Or?

Why we can't dump the PW from the set will always be a mystery.  I guess a set is a set rather than 14 clubs in the bag.

With the upgrade the long irons will cover for the hybrid

Use your 3w. You can learn how much to choke it down to get there. You could also punch it. Go to the back 9 at BPB and get in the fairway as close to the tee as you can. Now hit your 3w but choke it down to the first move the avatar makes. Hit it and note the carry (when you hear the thump of landing be watching the yardage box) and then the total distance. Hit backwards to that spot and punch it with a full swing noting the total distance (punches don't carry-they fly low and roll.) When you run out of shots go to the 11th and do the same thing. 10, 11 and 12 all have long fairways that give you plenty of room to shoot up and down the fairway. Dial that 3w in and go get your wedge.  ;-)

Thank you guys for some great pieces of advice. I've decided to wait around for lvl 59 and buy the G10 irons. Until then, I'll hope that my HB won't be essential, since I've bought the Satin 60 and now got all three in my bag.

    Thanks again!
