Just been doing a little light reading here in the forums about using a Mac on this game--I have a couple of them and had been mostly playing on my iMac which works OK, but just for kicks tried it out my PowerBook, MacBook, whatever they are calling it these days, and it's working out pretty well. Had to get used to using the trackpad, but that came in no time.

I have been using the Chrome browser after having bad luck with Firefox, but am planning to test out other browsers as well. From the archives I've seen mentions of Safari (this did not work well for me on the iMac but seems better on the MacBook), Camino, Opera, and Seamonkey but am wondering what others use these days here in 2012 on their Macs. Curious to hear from other people using the trackpad as well--took getting used to but now I think I might actually prefer it!

I usually have a pretty smooth meter, but when I do get metered it's baaad, often resulting in lost balls. It either stops dead so that I've clicked way "early" because the timing is thrown off, or my click seems to go unheeded until it's almost fully run to the right...both of these are very hard to see coming. If the meter is a little jerky, I just let it run and on the next swing it's usually fine.

How is everyone else out there in Mac-land doing?

Hello...long time mac user here. I use an iMac & have 4 gigs of ram installed.

I have tried all the browsers, but it seems for my WGT experience I use the older version of Firefox 3.6.25

It is very stable and with the other WGT tricks such as clearing flash cache, and going to options when you are playing and turning flash from high to medium & turning off reflections, my meter is almost always smoothe.

Also, not sure why...but i use the Callaway "s" ball and find the vapor version much more stable than the regular ball...Go figure:)

    have a great day...

    Tim

I use an iMac with 8 Gb ram and Safari Version 5.1.2. i have had no problem with Safari other than sometime when I go to full screen mode, the WGT window goes dark. I just have to minimize and then go back into full screen. This generally only occurs when I am going into full screen when a pop-up is displayed by WGT.

I have had an issue yesterday related to using the Magic Trackpad where it prematurely released the shots while putting. This happened three times on one round but not for all putts or other shots.

This is the only problem that I have had using Apple equipment.

Powermac 2x3GHz 8GB ram for here at work and an iMac with 4 gig at home. I use Safari on both. Firefox works just as well. Chrome had a mouse click lag on both computers. Game client is 99% meter problem free in single player mode. Multiplayer mode can be a nightmare at times. Not sure why. Still trying to figure that out. But I "think" it only happens when I'm the one that creates the game.
