I don't know if this answers your question but it might come in handy if you get the R11 irons or the Burner 2.0 irons.

    R11--Burner 2.0

    CLUB     PUNCH      PITCH         CHIP

    3           208--203        97--93           61--59

    4           194--189        86--83           54--52

    5           176--171        73--70           46--44

    6           162--157        66--64           41--39

    7           148--143        60--58           36--36

    8           134--130        53--50           31--31

    9           121--120        47--47           27--27

    PW       103--108        41--43           22--24

As for the R11 club full distance there is not a lot of difference:~

    3 iron 225, 4 iron 210, 5 iron 195, 6 iron 180, 7 iron 165, 8 iron 150, 9 iron 135, PW 120

Hope this helps. I have the R11'S and wouldn't change them for the world. jmo.

Interesting post, Mel. Looks familiar. What you fail to point out is that there is quite a substantial difference in the way the longer irons perform with the R11s. The 3, 4 and 5 irons hold greens much better, the yardage is evened out to 15 yards between clubs and the forgiveness is a bit better.

TMs don't need that extra from the longer irons because they're not faced with the longer approaches Legends are. The performance of the lower irons is pretty much the same. The set wedge being 120 and punching 103 does change the wedge dynamic. You can't lose going to the R11s but what you get won't impress you unless you're a Legend.

    Hi Jim,

Yeah, I thought I pinched it from you. Copied it and kept it. Very useful when I first got the Irons. Thanks for filling in the rest of it. I don't have that way with words. It would have come out garbled. LOL:~))

    Happy Golfing,

    Mel

I have the G15 irons and find the precision stats to be better than the R11's.  However,

I do have the R11 driver and 3W and love them.

Its the level 90 R11 Irons they are talking about not the ones at 30.

I had the 2.0s and was stubborn about buying the R11s.  No comparison between the 2. The R11 long irons are so much better than the 2.0 long irons it's unreal.

Just look at what the R11's have done to scoring since they came out.

If you want my honest opinion...don't upgrade anymore until you reach Legend.  I actually played with the G10's (Driver, 3W, and Irons) all the way up to Legend, and I did it for a reason.

You, are pretty darn close to becoming a Legend. The best way to approach Legend is to get accustom to hitting longer iron shots.  You already have the R11 Driver and 3W.  From the TM tees, my guess is you don't even take out that 3 or 4 iron very often right now.

Looking at your scoring history, you may be in for some hard times if you make Legend too quickly. You already have all the best clubs available, and are shooting 32-34 with regularity.  Those will become 35-37 when you hit Legend.

My advice: Since you already have the big boy clubs, I'm going to suggest that you spend a lot of time in practice rounds from the Championship tees.
