  Potentially an idiotic question but in the stats tab of player profiles there is a stat for "holed approach shots", I have way more of those than eagles so I was just curious what qualifies as a holed approach shot? Anything that goes in from off the gregreen?

  And it doesn't matter if the holed approach shot is for eagle, birdie, par, or worse, IIRC.

  I'm not sure if it counts as a holed approach shot if you were to chip or pitch in while on the green, never tested that scenario, but I would assume that wouldn't count.

  I'm also not sure if a putt from the fringe/fairway also qualifies.

  I think it refers to the number of shots one hits FROM the fairway, FULL SWING and lands on the green.  For par 4s, it's the second shot, for par 5s, it's the third shot.  Maybe "approach shots made" would be a better term.  Good question.  Hope this helps.

  "Holed Approach Shots" are shots taken off of the greens (bunker, fairway, ruff, etc.) that go directly into the cup (BUT ONLY) in RANKED ROUNDS.  A HO1, in a practice round, doesn't get recorded either!

  While we're on thhe subject of holed approach shots, does anyone know if it counts as hitting the flagstick?
