I think a new ball type is needed to fill a bit of a hole in the current line up.

    What would be nice is:

    Spin, distance & feel = 2 out of 10.             Durability 3?

According to the chart, should be somewhere around 50 - 70 credit range.

These would be slightly inferior to the GI-S, which has a spin rating of 4 and other attributes = 2, which I'm sure many people like (and I will try too!) These ones I'm proposing would be a little cheaper alternative, for us poor folk :)

Acknowledged.  It's quite likely that we'll have more & different ball types for future releases, but they probably won't be available this time around.

Thanks very much for the heads up!    Fingers crossed for these ones in a future one.... :)

What would really be nice is a "design your own ball" utility where the various attributes for the ball (spin, distance, feel, etc) could be assigned desired rating levels for each attribute and then priced by the quanity of rating levels used in designing the ball. HB3

I disagree, many players would build the balls with everything rated 10 and just slaughter anyone that couldn't afford to do so, it'd just get out of hand.  And this is coming from one of the guys that WOULD pay the premium to have th most bad ass balls possible, lol.

I was really liking hbthree's idea, until I read what werksux said.

    Good point.

P.S. I'd pay for the best  balls too.

The middle ground to this, is to have a max number of performance attributes that can be selected. ie:

    1-5 rating for each of 5 categories (distance, forgiveness, etc) 5 x 5 = 25 performance 'slots'

Cost A = 10 slots (two categoris at max, or 5 at a 2 rating each)

    Cost B = 15 slots

    Cost C = 20 slots

Basically, allow more performance upgrading for a higher cost, bu NEVER allow all 5 categories to be maxed out. Make it a user preference to determine which categories are more heavily rated, maxed out, etc, while forcing a lowering of performance for the rest of the categories, because NO cost tier allows for max performance on all 5 categories.

I did not intend, in my initial post, to suggest that one might be able to max out each category; Sorry I did not make that clear...as others have suggested, there would clearly need to be a maximum number of "levels" that could be used to "design" one's ball...the idea was simply one of being able to design a ball to best match an individual's game and current equipment;...HB3
