Why doesn't WGT penalize quitters. The game is losing it's legitimacy when so many people quit mid-round. I am so tired of starting a round only to have people quit so their bad score doesn't reflect on their average. It's even worse when I am having a good round and the game locks up because some loser isn't happy with his score and quits.

By simply adding 5 penalty strokes to the player's average would solve this problem.

Bad scores don't affect your average, so that argument isn't legit.

If someone quits and freezes the game up, I agree that's extremely rude to the rest of the players, but if they exit via the menu bar, it's not a problem, and doesn't affect anyone else.

There are no contracts signed here, it's just a video game.

You are correct it is just a game, but your argument that a bad score doesn't effect your average doesn't make sense. Isn't your average a result of all of your scores? I may be splitting hairs here, but if people learn how to quit a round that would leave me indifferent.

Every time i hit 2 or more over par, my average goes up.

game only freezes if they quit on their turn.

Sure in the lower tiers there are  few quitters, who may not understand how averages and tiers work.

But then there is many who simply have computer issues, or something has come up IRL  that demands their attention away from the game.

Right, computer issues....right after they take two shots to get out of that huge bunker, but not when they are having a great round.

Sorry, if your gonna quit when someone is playing better than yourself than maybe you should stick to "playing with yourself"
