As a clarification, those CG numbers are the 'rated values', ie, it's the number shown for full power when you have that club and shot type selected.  The numbers are accurate for full and punch shots with zero spin applied.

The CG 64 deg wedge chip value (7 yds max)  is also accurate for full backspin off fairway or fringe.

However the pitch shot (again, full backspin) for the 64 degree CG, rated at 17 yds will actually produce about 20 yds total distance. Similarly all the other CG wedges will yield greater than rated total distance for BOTH chips and pitches.

From experimenting, the pitch max ranges were likely based on no-spin fairway to fairway shots. In other words, in actual use, you'll get more than advertised total distance because of the longer roll-out on the putting green.

How they came up with the chip ranges for other than the 64 deg wedge, I have no earthly idea.
