Recently my average has been coming down 0.01 to 0.02 maximum even though I've been shooting 30's, 29's and the very occasional 28's and 27's.  But I've just shot a 30 (-5) on RSG back 9 and it's come down 0.05!!!!  Can anyone explain?

Has it maybe something to do with me reaching 400 legend rounds (I know I must be somewhere close to it, but I've never kept count) so that my worst score has been dropped, hence the big(ish) drop?

If it isn't from reaching that magic number of rounds, that 30 might have bumped a big number out of the mix.

But if it's bumped one out, then it must be that I've reached 400, else it wouldn't have bumped anything.  That means I may come down a little more quickly now.  Woohoo!

Erm, your average has always been a certain number of last ranked rounds. It used to be 14 way back when. No clue what it is now but that .05 movement in itself suggests you probably did the do. WTG. :-)

It is definitely from reaching the magic number of 400 ranked rounds as a legend. I had the same phenomenon a couple of days ago.

So be happy and play your average down.

I'm so looking forward to playing round #401 as a legend.  There's an ugly 88 that will get dropped when I do.  How the hell I managed to hit 44 for the front 9 at BPB as a legend is a sad story.

You're right about how it used to work, but wrong about how it works now. For Legends it is the average of all rounds played as a Legend until 400 rounds are played. After that it's the average of the best 400 rounds, not the last 400 rounds. Otherwise average would continue to rise and fall. After 400 rounds it only goes down.
