If someone is involved in a game or practice on a course the game should not allow invitations to play other games.  Can you imagine Tiger Woods setting up a putt and having someone run up to him and ask him to play?  How about if someone yelled out during your backswing?

Some peope only want to play fast games, (i.e. NO Talking) and then there are people like me, who ask questions and chat constantly.  Options should be in the game setup and displayed for invited players.

Um, there is already an option built in that you requested.  Its where it says "AVAILABLE TO"

Click on it and change it to "NO ONE" during your round if you don't want any invites. ;)

You can change it back change it back to "FRIENDS ONLY" or "EVERYONE" afterwards if you want to be live for invites from random creepy dudes.

Good luck on the links Joan. :)

The current implementation is no good, because the light does not indicate if you're online but not available for a round.

Players have been requesting a fix for this since at least December 2008, and the good news is that the fix is actually in the 30-60 days bracket on the Upcoming Releases list: "Online status color-coding".
