i received and install a flash update yesterday  11  i believe .  i read where some folks were having trouble putting  .  this update may be the cause although i noticed no difference last night. i also read this was due out later in the month.. the reason for the post is we all know the game works off the flash so i would go get the update if you have not received the notice yet  strikerseasy

The Flash update is to version 11.1.102.62, but more importantly to a lot of us is this,

    Native 64-bit support

Flash Player can now take advantage of native support for 64-bit operating systems and 64-bit web browsers on Linux®, Mac OS, and Windows®.

Prior to this update Flash was 32 bit ONLY and I think that was part of the problem with the game. And now, AT LEAST FOR ME, the game seems a little smoother.

Danny-I take it you're running the 64-bit version of your OS. I have been using it since I got this laptop almost 3 years ago. I believe it's one of the reasons I don't have huge meter issues. As it is, like I said in the other Flash thread, I haven't updated Flash for my game browser because of how good it works.

My question to you would be how big is this new Flash ability? Would you think I would see anything different?

    Thanks

Being the total computer moron that I am, how do I do this update. I know where the on switch is, where my WGT game is, and where the buy credits section is.

I think it is worth upgrading for, I have seen smoother game play and I have had to adjust my "dinging" a little because of it..

LOL Case in point. Me too, after I re-learned the meter swing.

The easiest way is to right click in a flash window and select About Adobe Flash Player at the bottom of the pop-up menu...

    Jim,

I updated the new version yesterday. I would say minimal difference on Chrome and Firefox, but better. Reading this post earlier about the 64 bit upgrade, I closed out and opened WGT in MSN, as I am a very curious person.

I must say that the three rounds I played on Windows 7, had the smoothest meter I ever played with. not one glitch, bump, hesitation or speed change in all 54 holes.

Needless to say, I am very impressed with this new upgrade, and will continue to play MSN golf at this time.

The only drawback I see is the screen is a smaller resolution on MSN then Chrome, but it is not a problem at all.

It's already in place for Chrome users. I think I'm going to try Chrome in a game to see if it's any different. The last time I used Chrome it was playable but prone to graphic/meter inconsistencies.

    Tx for the answer, DP.

@BD-My CD browser did the same thing a few days ago, for no reason. It took me a minute to figure it out and it turned out to be the zoom function in the game. Not the one in the lower right corner, the one you see when you right click on the screen. I have no idea why it changed.

When you're in the game try right clicking and selecting Show All. That might do for you what it did for me-put the screen back to the size I was used to.

I've been playing in Chrome all night and it's performing easily as good as my CD browser. It sure looks like the 64-bit addition to Flash made a difference.
