is there a faq about posting/imbedding images within a forum post? Mine keep wanting to post as links, not images.

Also, can someone link me to the applicable thread for posting unusual images from course play?

How to Post Scorecards & Screenshots - This deals primarily with scorecards, but it works for any screenshot.

    Hello fellas.

The snipping tool in Windows works great as well. Crazyman2 can give more details on the best way to use it, I'm still learning myself. From what I understand, there's a lot of different free software on the web to take screen shots too.

I also know WGT has reviewed the idea of posting scorecards through the site. I hope we see it in the road map in the future.

    Play well.

Wondering why WGT just won't allow us to upload a photo? Maybe with size parameters? Niv?

    Thanks niv,

I followed that process, but it only posts a link to the image, not the image itself. Should this work through any image hosting site or does WGT have it limited to tinypic only? The particular screenshot was uploaded to picasa web image hosting, and was placed in a public folder with no security or access restrictions.

I also noticed the 'insert media' option also loaded the default location/URL with a leading

    http://

meaning that when you post the link properly, it duplicates that. I did delete the duplicate data, but still got only a link - no photo. I'll give tinypic a try as well, but I'm guessing this should work regardless of the image URL.

    Thanks also Richard4168,

I'm not having an issue getting the screenshot, the Windows software works well enough for what I am trying to do here - I simply can't get the image to insert into the forum post, it is reverting to the link instead for some reason.

    Niv,

I just tried tinypic also, and it formatted the link differently (where it is not the exact URL), but it still wont show the image within the thread.

    Disregard Niv, just got it.......

Note to self; don't forget to navigate ALL the way to the .jpg listing for the image before linking...............

And one last off-topic but related question, please. It appears that the 'delete' option for thread posts disappears after a few minutes, leaving it impossible to delete a post long term. is this something that WGT would consider re-thinking? Would be great if the poster had a never ending option to delete his/her own posts, especially when one doesn't find the posts that he/she made under the influence of Jagermeister until 1-2 days later, lol.
