Why have a lot of players three wedges equiped, and abstain the hybrid ??

Or other question, do i need the hybrid.

    Thanks for imformation.

Most players don't use the hybrid, unless on an extremely long course and you need it to reach long holes.

I don't use a hybrid, because I would rather have three wedges so I have less of a distance gap in my wedges, which means closer approaches & more birdies.

most of us find that the we use the 3rd optional wedge a lot more than we do the hybrid. And in some cases the hybrid is redundant any way. The R11 hybrid and 3 iron both are rated at 225 yards. If you hit the fairway most of the time the hybrid isn't needed. And most of the better 3 woods punch very well out of all but the heaviest rough and the fescue at St. Andrews and the weeds at RSG. There are even times when I drop the 3 wood as well and have 4 optional wedges.

    Yep. Thanks a lot.

A interesting option to adjust the clubs for several courses.

Another option to consider with the equipment you have and your current tees is to actually replace the 3w and not the hybrid.   You would have pretty even splits from the hybrid distance all the way down to the 64 degree wedge by picking up a wedge rated for 70-75 yards.  From Tour Pro tees I'll bet you don't use the 3w a lot anyway, and filling that gap from 90 yards in would help your scrambling and sand save percentages as well.
