I have a PING K15 iron set, which goes from 105 to 195 meters. I have not succeeded in finding a proper set of 3 wedges, closing the gap down to 55-60 meters.

I have bought 3 TaylorMade Z Satin set wedges (TP64, TP60, TP54) but I have difficulties controlling them. They have a high meter speed. So I avoid using them.

    I'm a L52 PRO.

Any ideas for suitable wedges for me?

MABEY ..try using ... a ball that has at least 2 dots of feel... the more feel a ball has ..the slower yer meter will be...

    hope that helps a little...

I for one  think you have a good gap between all your wedges.

Do you ever use the punch shot? If you don't I would really suggest it, as it would give you shot distances right in between the normal, full shot distances you already have. For example the 60 wedge's normal distance is 77yrds and the punch is 63yrds. (right in between the 50 yrds of 64 wedge) Remember though that punch shots fly lower meaning that even with full back spin (depending on the wind) they won't stop absolutely dead, so allow some space for roll.

As for controlling them, well that will just get better over time with the more shots and practice you have with them. The speed of the meter is also something you'll get used to, unfortunately when it comes to meter speed, you won't find any decent wedges with a slower meter.

    Hope this helps,

    Good luck.

EDIT : I just noticed that yours are the lvl 14 and not lvl 39 wedges. Yes, those are awkward distances. I've sent you something, give them a try. :-)

    THANX a lot !!!

Very happy for the clubs. I hadn't noticed the L14 - L39 thing. I'm in the middle of using my new clubs.

    Thanx again!

being 66  when i have faster clubs such as wedges to hit i take 3 practice swings to get my timing it really helps i also play left or right of the ding as the ding is not a sound i hear often.  good luck and as you improve and need better clubs the speed increases so its gonna be best to adapt to the speed asap.   expensive balls do slow things down as a master i use nike  balls 450 for 3 as i enjoy the game and i was unable to hit the clubs with lesser balls with any consistent rhythm  i have learned to avoid the water etc .  also the advice on punches also goes for your irons as well you need to know all your shots as the closer you can hit to the full meter the better the shot will be   strikerseasy
