In light of the great new update, just wanted to throw out a few suggestions from my persona perspective. I realize some of this may duplicate what is already out there (see http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/6670.aspx) but some may not, so here goes:

    1) Additional Gameplay Formats.

This is already on the list cited above, but I think as the WGT continues to grow, people are looking for new and different ways to play. I think the job you guys have done adding match play is fantastic; so I don't think this has to happen right away.  It just seems like team play, Ryder Cup-style, has become very popular. So in addition to match play, I'm sure lots of people would love to see team best ball, alternate shot, skins, or nassaus out there.

    2) Increased Master+ Equipment.

Of the people I'm friends with and/or play regularly, my estimate is 90% are on the master tier. Of those players, I think there is a market for increasing differentiation of equipment. Basically, everyone has a variation of the same set-up - TM R9 driver, Ping G10 irons, TM wedges, putter of your choice, possible hybrid/3Wood. Almost no one plays with the TM preferred irons (and after trying them out, I know why).

My sense is that new products for people on the master tier that perform at a similar level to the Ping G10's, or even better, would generate some revenue.  For Amatuer-Pro, there is a lot of variation. For Masters, basically none. Maybe that means agreements with other manufacturers (I know people have asked for Callaway/Nike/Titlelist); or maybe it just means updating the master club sets with the new TM/Ping irons.

I was excited to see the new R9s in the last update, until I realized it wouldn't do me any good at my tier. I don't know what the trade-off is in terms of programming the new equipment v. revenue, but a lot of masters have a lot of credits/money they'd throw at new gear.

This may go hand-in-hand with the creation of a new tier above master, which has already been suggested.

    3) Elimination of the CTTH going forward.

This might not be very popular, but if time/money spent towards creating new CTTH courses (like the new Pinehurst, or Lanai down the road) were entirely eliminated, that might be time spent towards a new stroke play course. Obviously, the excitement of the site for new stroke play courses is extremely high. There are enough existing CTTH courses to give those who enjoy those games a good rotation.

I, like everyone, wish for new stroke play courses, but I don't think it's realistic to ask for more than 1 or 1.5 a year given the difficulty in constructing it. Maybe propose a list of courses for the next stroke play course and ask the community to vote on it? Obviously it would only include courses for which there are no restrictions/licensing issues.

    4) Tiered Ready-Go's

Potentially a way to increase revenue, I've gotten the sense that after the initial flurry of entries, the number of RG's in general has decreased due to the fact that most of them are won by the same masters - and I'll admit I'm as guilty as anyone of winning a ton of credits that way. Even in a below average day I'll still shoot -2 or -3 and win credits.  I understand that the other tiers play from their own tees, but I remember working my way up to master and there is no way to compete with the equipment/knowledge/skill that most masters have over a prolonged period.

I would be interested in the # of RG's won by anything other than masters - tiering the RG's may increase participation with everyone knowing that the playing field is level. For example, I never shot 59 at BPB before I made master - it may be possible, but to shoot under par on BPB as anything other than a master is impressive. You need the Ping G10's just to hold half the elevated greens.

    5) Ability to Purchase Items in the WGT Store with Credits

This is sort of a step towards a more realistic "Elite Collection." I would buy a mouse pad or calendar or something silly like that for 1000 credits ($10).  I think cashing out credits is harder; but if there was something small and tangible that you could get for your credits, that would increase the fun a bit and maybe revenues.

That's it - obviously I really love playing the game, and I think WGT does a great job. This are just my own thoughts (in addition to those already forwarded by the community).  I enjoy playing it, and do so basically for free, but would be willing to pay for things if that means keeping WGT in business and eventually turning a profit.  That would (hopefully) bring more courses, equipment, prizes, etc.

    Good luck to everyone

    Clarence
