  ^First Time I bought my new Satin Clubs i was so happy about them, that i made a lot of very nice Flops very close to the hole. But in the last days i lost my feeling to have this nice shots. Now im 2-4 yards away from the hole. No more 2 or 4 feets.

  Here are some Questions to learn that again.

  *Flop used : up or down spin ?

  *Where is the best placement to have the shortest distance closed to the hole?

  *How much i have to give more distance if i was in a rough ore into the fringe?

  *Can you give a flop into the bunker?

  *How much distance i have to give more, if i shot up-hill or donw-hill?

  All depends on what clubs and balls you use.

  My suggestion is to set up a practice game and place yourself in these scenarios and find out for yourself how your balls and clubs behave with every different shot you have asked about.

  most of the answers require practice, but here is my 2 cents:

   

  1. for me, full bs 80% of the time

  2. not sure what you mean but i really dislike choking flop more than 85%

  3. no clear answer as it depends on conditions and each hole

  4. yes but it's not the best shot

  5. same a #3

  Just a question wgticon... when will there be an implemented sand shot that has more spin then a fairway shot? I mean whenever i go out there and work on those 20-50yd bunker shots i have the option of hitting it pretty thin and giving it some huge spin. where is that one here?

  I don't tend to use the flop very often and I don't think I've ever tried from a green side bunker.  I have a 64 degree Taylor Satin Z that's marked for 50 yards and use the Calloway i(s) balls.

  For me, getting out of the bunker is usually a half swing or so at full with the 64 degree with no spin.  With that, I'm usually no more than 1-2 yards from the hole, 3 at the most.  If it's longer 20 yards, I might move up to my 60 degree.

  When I have tried a flop, I've not really noticed a difference in the result when I use backspin, so I tend to allow 1-3yds of roll when I'm hitting them, depending on the shape of the green.  I do agree choking down a flop is a bad idea.

  yes you can flop from sand ... sometimes.

  BPB or StA in the 15% lie, the flop will yield close to the rated distance with full backspin and a ding. In CCC with typical 30-40 lie you need almost 2x the actual distance.

  If the distance is outside flop range taking into account the above, you'll need to go to a choked down full wedge.

  Depending on lie, lip height of bunker, required carry to green, etc. pitches or punches can do the job as well.

  Yes you can flop from a green side bunker as well as the rough. It will take some practice to figure out what works for your club and ball combo. I use full backspin about 80% of the time. For 30-40 lie I will use between 1.7 to 2.0 times the distance for 20-25 I use 1.3 to 1.5 times the distance. best advice is go practice it until you figure out what works for you

  The Cleveland wedges are the best for the Flop shot as they take one bounce and stop dead or roll just slightly

   Full B/spin... distance anywhere between 10-40yrds.

  Half B/spin from the fringe and hit less distance as the ball will carry further.

  You can flop from the bunkers, but a tricky shot which needs allot of practice.. Beth would be best for the flop outa bunkers.

  Play a practice game and hit in and out of bunkers and hit back into bunker and out. Allowed 10 shots a hole which doesn't affect your average.

  The way I play the flop...

  Click the reverse view in Chip or Putt mode to see what the dots are doing.

  Move the Aim slightly depending on wind and roll on green.

  Change to normal view and remember to select Flop

  Then click the Line just before the Ding.

  The ball will travel towards flag and move with the wind and if hit right will either stop very close or go in the hole.

  Yea, i have to make my own scool class some times, and dont play matches here. Thats true. I like to think about from the tips of you.
