  Old hat to alot of you, I know but on my 19th day of playing, just got my first subpar and sub 70 round in at Oakmont CC tournament.

  Also a bit nice to be tied for 2nd place before all the big guys play this tourney

  Interesting note: I was -4 through 11 til I started missing a putt or two. 3 bogies in 4 holes followed that.

  Thanks to BolloxInBruges for posting youtube videos that really improved my game quickly. Especially putting. All those blitz games sure helped my approaches.

  First off let me say congrats.  I remember my first sub par score, I was pretty happy that day.

   

  Second, Just want to give you a tip.  The real key to helping your game is that you want to be able to make the ball stop when it hits the green.  Learn how backspin affects your distance and get some clubs and ball with high spin and stop that ball on approach.  Your scores will get even lower.
