round 1 says it's open March 1st - March 5th but it won't let me enter because "This Tournament Is Now Closed For New Entries"

what is the cut-off if not march 5th?  like midnight on the 4th???

If the entries are not allowed on March 5th then it should say March 1st - March 4th.

All of the tournament dates are like that, and I have a theory: since WGT is based on the west coast, their 11:59 p,.m. March 4 is the next day in other U.S. time zones, thus the overlapping day. Again, just a thought and a whim. Maybe a clarification from WGT may be in order.

It also says open to the first 200 entrants. Mu guess is that the 200 spots were already filled.

That's correct.  Round one of that tournament was slated to end 11:59 Pacific Time on March 4th, and sign up ended an hour before that (to allow for time to complete the round).  However, in other US time zones, the sign up date spills over into the early morning hours of March 5th, hence the confusion.
