  Why does driving the green 1) not count towards long drive 2) goes against your hitting the fairway % ?

  Others have suggested that it treats it like a par 3 when you drive the green on a PAR 4

  But then it should not affect your fairway %, ie #9 St Andrew was 100% until 9th when I drove green dropped to 88%.  Just curious.

  I guess because technically you missed the fairway, but reaching the green in 1 to me is worth more than my driving stat dropping 12% for one hole.  Never heard a pro complain about reaching a green in one that his fairway percentage dropped as a result.  guess you got to take the good with the bad.  Think of it this way, out of the thousands of drives you will have in this game, that 1 miss wont make that much of a difference.

  i was not aware of any prizes being awarded for a really nifty hit fairway percentage. did i not get the memo? p.s. if there are prizes for that i want a st. andys bag tag. yours, JB
