gday all at wgt. thought i would share my idea and that is combining balls we have in our inventory to say for example 3 or 4. For example i have 1 callaway,1srixon,1 nike and so on. im a big fan of the paid tourneys but if i were to use"that 1 ball" and hit it into the water  id be  then playing with starter balls obviously, but if you were to combine balls in the kit you atleast have a chance to be up their with the leaders(not me so much). so theirs my idea and would like feedback on what other members think

                                                        cheers from AUS

Check out the rules of golf rule 15 that states that you must hole out with the exact same type of ball that you teed off that hole with.

The reason for this rule is to stop players using balls for different situations on the course, eg, hard balls for the extra distance off the tee then swapping to a super soft ball for approach shots to the green for stopping power.

The solution to this is next time you click on to play then check your equipment window and see how many balls you have left before you start a round and buy some in the pro shop to avoid having to play with starter balls in the event of losing "that 1  ball".

    Cheers.

Troy, when you begin a round and have only one ball left the screen will tell you so... in enough time so that you can buy another sleeve of balls before your round.  You're gonna buy them eventually anyway... so go ahead and part with the credits or cash.

I'm guessing you're the same guy that drives his car around on an 1/8th tank of gas.

    Grin if that's you.

Guys, I think I understand where Troy is coming from on this.  If I have decided that I want to play the Callway Tour i(S) legend balls but I have a few Nikes, Srixon, and standard Cally balls in the bag and want to use them up then I should be able to without the worry of losing "that 1 ball" and having to basically forfeit the round.  This isn't real golf and with the price of these "virtual" balls I agree that this isn't an unreasonable request.  I am not in anyway suggesting that you should be able to change to a different ball depending on the situation on the course - only if you lose the one that you are playing with.

In this same regard - I find it annoying that if I hit one into the "weeds" or "OB" just a yard or two over past the markers that I "lose" that ball when anyone would take a few steps to recover the ball.  Give me the penalty stroke and let me play out the ball.

i am actually times are tough :) thing is even if wgt allowed us to use different balls in one sleeve we still have to purchase in the end dont we?? buggered if im going to buy a sleeve for every single ball i have in my inventory game costs enough as it is. cheers for your feedback
