It might either belong to the Community Help or here at Game tips, whether it belongs to I'm wondering what a Golfer's Notebook/Scrapbook/Notes look(s) like.

Unfortunately I have slim to zero real life golfing friends and apart from the couple of games I played here I'm definitely new to the whole golf experience. So I've been wandering around the forums to check up on some game tips to improve my golf game and what caught my attention is the need of a Golfer's Notebook (an item which is being used by any golfer out there either here on WGT or in real-life).

Of course it's something I'll have to fit to my own taste due to the fact that I'm the one that plays the game my way. But what I basically want to know how do you guys pen down certain hole informations and more of that in a constructive looking way.

So far I noted down how the green slopes down & up, which clubs should be used at which conditions etc., backspin/topspin usage etc. (even though I'm using starters equipment). And it did help me a couple of times, yet there is room for improvement and I'd like to tweak it with the use of your advice.

    maxi,

you've got the right idea, and your correct about personalizing your book.  for me, that meant just hitting shots with the club under varying conditions, distances, etc... until i got to the point where i am fairly confident about what a specific club will do under specific conditions.

also, every time you get new clubs you will have to repeat the process.  the best way i found is to play unlimited play tourneys and not worry about fininshing them, just use up the max strokes for each hole going back and forth.

Note"  just when ya think you've got it figured out, wgt will throw you a curve.

    GL to you.
