There was a day i couldn't wait to get home and start playing golf. I loved it! Then i became a legend, and now i will play whatever let's me complete my consecutive days played streak the fastest so i can log out of this game i now despise. Let me tell you why...

1} Holes that were real eagle chances, like the 9th at St. Andrews are no more. Now it requires an excellent 2nd shot to even get a bird. Fair? Yes, but the point is no more eagles here.

2} Putting...what a joke. I've literally done replays on putts i knew were true and watched disbelievingly as it went right over the hole. Then there's the dreaded putt that sits on the rim, saying 2 inches away. Ya ok. Anyone ever had a putt that said 1 inch away? 1/2 inch away? Didn't think so. I've never had so many putts sit exactly 2 inches away. Wow! I'm remarkably consistent!

    3) Long holes with any sort of headwind...fuggetaboutit! Before when you struggled to hit the green in regulation is now just a distant memory. You now face a substantial 3rd shot to reach the green, and it had better be a damn good approach shot too, or bogey is assuredly in your future.

4} The good ole meter.lol. You thought it was fast before? HA! You're in for a treat! You know how nature programs slow down the film to allow you to see things you never could without it it being slowed down? That's how the old meter speed you thought was unfairly fast seems with the legend meter speed!

So all you tour masters excited about becoming legends i wish you all the best and hope the experience does not sour you on the game like it has me.

Use better balls you say and all your troubles will be cured? A gimmick solely intended to suck your hard earned dollars out of your pocket. Trust me, the best rounds i've shot have been with the generic brand ball, and WGT will not be getting another plugged nickel from me.

Well I love the game as I love a challenge. I don't begrudge WGT a penny.

You can still eagle this hole with a tail wind of 12mph+

Yes putting is tough. Very tough. It's still easier than real life though. On the bright side, it's not just tough for us Legends. It's now tough for everyone.

I can't think of any par 4s that are not reachable except maybe STA #17 with a 30mph headwind.

I can't say I remember my meter speeding up when I turned Legend. Maybe it did. Maybe it didn't. If it did I adapted.

Better balls are not "A gimmick solely intended to suck your hard earned dollars..." Trust me.

Becoming a Legend only makes you a better player in every aspect of this game. If you don't invest in the proper equipment you're going to struggle. If you don't want to invest in the proper equipment, take a couple weeks and learn how to play the game from the men's tees with the equipment you have.

I honestly think this game is way more fun as a Legend than as a TM. Driver, wedge, putt. Driver, wedge, putt. Rinse repeat. That's gets pretty damn boring if you ask me.

Same here. Said it before and I'll say it again, there's nothing like a 4 Legend AS match. ;-)
