Hello everyone, I apologize for my long absence from this thread.
But, as one of our fellow members pointed out, I do not manage the Double Eagle Club as a profession, so you will very well understand that I may not be able to have your claims verified, the board updated and the trophies made and sent out the very moment you finish writing your post. I might even be absent from WGT for a while.
So, please be patient.
Next, this thread, like it or not, is about players claiming an Albatross/Double Eagle. There are numerous other threads, or you can start a new one, if you want to discuss different topics or complain about some aspects of the game. So, please do not clog the thread with posts that have nothing to do with the reason it was created in the first place.
Next, I will remind a few rules of the Club that, if kept in mind, will expedite things and make life easier for me...
a. NO Albatross/D.E. qualifies in alternate shot mode.
b. 2 eagles in a row, albeit remarkable, ARE NOT A D.E./Albatross, they are 2 consecutive eagles.
c. replay is mandatory unless you are an Amateur or a Hack, because without it I cannot verify if you teed off from your tier's correct tee, or longer. If you are a Legend, for example, and you scored a D.E./Albatross in the Weekly Multiround Tourney which is from the Master tees, YOU DO NOT qualify for the Club.
d. A player must post the claim for himself. No claim will be verified if a friend posts someone else's shot.
And, last but not least, since the new clubs and balls have made things a LOT easier for everybody, and a D.E./Albatross is nowadays almost a daily occurrence, this Club will NOT accept new admissions after member n.99 has been appointed. This is to preserve the exclusivity of the DOUBLE EAGLE CLUB.
If someone has a different opinion on the matter and wishes to pick up the task, please let me know.
And finally, all updates and trophies will be taken care of shortly.
