i'm trying to decide whether to get the L59 or L83 myself...i'm having a hard time finding out what the distances are with the short irons...I would give up the xtra 5 yards to avoid those annoying 20 yard gaps Usually between the 9i and Pw and I'm thinking the L59 might have less gap between clubs...does anybody know which are better?

The L83 clubs have more spin and are spaced exactly 15 yards apart from 110-215.

I have the level 83 g-20's but they are in my inventory...and not in my bag!!! I also have the Nike Putters (both of them)...but they are in my inventory and not in my bag!!!  sometimes less is better !!! case in point (but I realized this could be just for me) I am on level 88...and I still use the level 59 'G-10's' (which they don't sell anymore) but for the money and the playability of them...for me 'unbeatable' (they were one of the best kept good all around iron set secrets on here)!! the same could be said for my putter(s) and putting...I use the level 44 'Ping Redwood' (while both of my Nike Methods are in my inventory and not in my bag)...Now as of right now all of the clubs that are in my bag...the 'swing meter speed' is the same!! I personally think this is the key to hitting good shots 'consistently' with all of your clubs by keeping the same meter speed...and for me that 'swing meter speed' is the arrow pointing straight up !!! However when I get to level 90...because of the gap between my 240 yard 3 wood and my 'G-10' 210 yard 3 iron...I will buy the R-11 Iron Set (and mainly to close the gap between the 3 wood and the 225 yard 3 iron !!! But I am a little worried about the slightly (but really much faster) swing speed of those irons !!! But really it will be no big thing because I will never ever, ever, ever, ever, never ever give up my G-10's...they will always be my 'ACE IN THE HOLE'...just in case I cannot master those R-11's!!! To me G-10's from level 59 were and are better than the G-20's from level 59...and are quite equal to the level 83 G-20's!!! oh by the way the G-10's were also much cheaper in price!! and the putter(s) I mentioned earlier one Nike is 1500 credits and the other Nike is 2,000 credits...my 'Ping Redwood' level 44 is only 600 credits...but it putts like it cost a million credits!!!  YES  SOMETIMES  LESS  IS BETTER !!!

The 59s are about the same:

    3i - 210
    4i - 200
    5i - 190
    6i - 175
    7i - 160
    8i - 145
    9i - 130
    PW - 115

I got the 59 G20s as soon as they were available and think I can carry them into Legend with a different driver and 3W perhaps.  I wish they were more forgiving given my (lack of) hand-eye coordination at times, but when I ding, I stick.

    Buggyyy:

The best thing to do is upgrade to the Burner 2.0s.  They have the same exact stats as the R11s. The only difference are that the yardages are R11s are a couple yards longer.

The R11s have a half dot more forgiveness and spin than the Burners, too.   And not only is the R11 3 iron 5 yards longer at 225, but the R11 PW is 5 yards shorter at 120 and plays better with the 100 yard CG56.  Also, the R11s are all a consistent 15 yards apart.

I stuck with the old L59 G10s, till I was able to get the top R11s, but I did play with the Burners a lot on free rental days, and tried the new L83 G20s one round during the last free rentals.

The Burners are very good clubs.  The only reason I didn't buy them is because I knew the R11s would be a little better (which they are), and I'm patient and cheap.

Gotta love that L83 G20 meter, slower than the G10s even, and felt more like the Raptures I used to have.  But the half dot of spin between the G20s and the Burners is a lot bigger than the half dot of spin between the Burners and R11s.

Not to get greedy but how bout with with the 3.5 - 4.5 extra distance balls like the Cal iz or Nike XI-X (L48).

    StrokerLee:

II still use the level 59 'G-10's' (which they don't sell anymore) but for the money and the playability of them...

I bought the G20's (L83), and tried them for a week, but I have since gone back to my G10's (L59)... The reason is because the G10's have a higher trajectory (ie, the g20 8 iron goes 140 yds, vs 145 yds on the g10 8 iron...)

The g20 irons are a total scam...WGT advertises the g20's as being more precise, and more forgiving than the g10's were, but that is a total lie...If anyone has the salt to prove me wrong, then I stand here and wait for their challenge....

ps... yea, I am really pist that I spent $26.95 on the g20 irons... they are not worth the money, and quite frankly, they are crap...
