I've been on this site for a bit over a year now, I read the forums 2 or 3 times a week, and it never ceases to amaze me at how many skeptics/haters there are.  Why can't those of you who are constantly complaining about the low qualifying/tournament scores just accept the fact that the top players on this site ARE ACTUALLY THAT GOOD?

Using BollixinBruges as an example, the man has over 4,000 RANKED ROUNDS played, plus whatever he has in Alt Shot, Match Play, CTTH, practice rounds etc... Someone who puts that amount of time and effort into anything, is usually going to be pretty damn good at it.  As another example, tibbets, accomplished everything he/she did with STARTER equipment. The other top names here, Priestess, genorb, and Ffuds, etcc..., have obviously done the same, namely spent a lot of time practicing.

I'm not in their league, and probably never will be, but you know what?? I COULD CARE LESS.  When I play a round, my first objective is to have 100% Driving Accuracy/GIR, then to shoot a sub-par round (I usually accomplish the latter with more regularity than the former).

The forums went crazy when RUNWME posted the 49 In the Sun Safe tourney at Kiawah.  While there were many congratulations to him on an exceptional accomplishment, there were also many negative comments because he used multiple restarts over an extended period of time to do it.  Makes no sense to me, it is within the rules, so the same opportunity is available to every single player here.

Are there cheaters/sandbaggers/multi-accounters here??  Absolutely (although I have no conclusive evidence of this), but so what?/  There will ALWAYS be cheaters, as long there are people involved.  Again however, SO WHAT??  These people can only affect you if you allow them to.

Are there things that I wish WGT would have set up differently?/ Of course there are. Restricting the top level clubs to the higher tiers is the first of many things that comes to mind, but the game is what it is. This is nothing but a computer game, and if you are that bothered by the things that you complain about, well, STOP PLAYING.

Okay, the rant is over now, and I feel much better.

I totally agree %100. The top players here are more gamers than just your everyday hacker like myself. I take my hat off to the elite of the game

You mean if they play better than me that they aren't cheating?

    How dare you!!

I been playing computer games for over half my life (I'm 15) and I know I can game better than anyone, so after I've played 20 ranked rounds I already know everything about this game that could EVER be known.

SO if they score better than me they have to be cheating!!!

Well Put Marks84 I couldn't agree with you more.

I agree Mark, but the people complaining want to shoot low scores like the better players and until they can play at a level that satisfies them, their always going to complain that everyone else is cheating because the top players shoot low, and they can't.

It seems like selfish behavior on the complainers part to me. They don't realize they have to put their time in this game to get good. The players who complain the most only have 150 ranked rounds or a few hundred Alt-shot games under their belt.

White tees (pro/tour pro) with legend equipment. That is why the thread had the negative comments

    So????

Legend equipment in itself doesnt get you good scoring. It is what YOU do with the equipment that matters.

Pro/Tour Pro tees can be played with starter equipment. And if you do what RUNWME did, and put in 33 hours - you would probably  get a seriously low scoring as well. It is the ability to do with the equipment that you want to, that will determine if you play a good round or not.

Only reason I have switched my equipment as I tiered up is for better distance/control on my shots. Necessary when you start playing out of Master tees - not to say anything about Legend tees.

    OP - great posting.

I agree with the OP. Instead of complaining that they can't do it they should ask for advice. I'm sure any of the players that were mentioned or any of the top players for that matter would be happy to answer any questions. And of course you can see how it's done on youtube.

Lets get something right here. It's not Legend equipment, it's level 90+ equipment. Any tier can get it if they're a high enough level.
