  Danny did you just tell me I am wrong and then source a "Rumor has it" website?

  lol. I mean..cmon. Obviously its likely an acronym, but come up with a better source than that.

  Believe it or not....there are actual women who play this game and that's just insulting!

  More power to you Megan.  Don't think WGT will do anything this time, but hopefully they'll address this in future.

  I wonder if the World Golf Tour (now just WGT) Developers are putting most of their resources into the WGT baseball game on Facebook and just didn't give much time to the avatars. I know a lot of players complained when WGT only offered a bunch of awards and avatars in a past update. That may have resonated with WGT.

  It just doesn't seem like WGT is taking any of the ideas people are sharing in the forums, or addressing any of the problems some players face in this game. But then again WGT may be handling affairs through e-mail only, and keeping the results out of the forums.

  Just theoretically speaking.

  Obviously its likely an acronym,  NO it is called a bacronym "Taking a word which already exists and creating a phrase, usually humorous, using the letters of the word as initials"

  examples include:

  FORD  --  Found On Road Dead or First On Race Day

  FAMILY -- Father And Mother Intensely Love You

  BRA --  Breast Reshaping Aid

  
  

  as opposed to an ACTUAL acronym:

  RAdio Direction And Ranging -- RADAR

  Sound Operated Navigation And Ranging -- SONAR

  Thomas A Swift's Electric Rifle -- TASER

  Don't know if you were just trying to be funny with your statement but it is at best inappropriate.

  Danny theres no direct answer to where the name Golf came from. It simply is what it is. We could argue back and forth all day at what it was derived from. I just thought it was funny you sourced a "rumor has it" website. The next link someone shared still doesnt clarify anything. It used "possibly" twice when trying to provide any factual background of where the name came from.

  Acronym or Bacronym? Nobody knows without knowing the truth.

  This is weird ..I played as the male avatar id won in the sun safe classic...an my meter seemed slower an I definately had longer drives...and my putts were better...so maybe it's not all bad girls:))....Not that im backing off from my post, but try it out maybe we should play as men lol....if you can't beat them ...join them   :))
