I'm just saying it how it is. They were done until you had to voice yourself in this thread.

    ArrVeeAussie:

    Whateva Nikki

You're becoming as bad as Linsey, sticking your nose in where it doesn't belong.

Oh no! Had it not been for them, I'd still be believing your lies and getting more hurt than I already was. I owe a lot to them! Thank you Rich! Thank you Lindsey!

    ArrVeeAussie:

I am NOT in an argument with anyone.

Really? This isn't an argument? Please tell me your definition of an argument.

    ArrVeeAussie:

    I didn't start the smart a.ss remarks.

No, but you provoked it. Had you have actually moved on, you would never have made a post in this thread. That shows you are physically unable to move on.

    ArrVeeAussie:

I'm not calling anyone names either, but you seem to love calling me pathetic.

Because you are! Look what YOU started.

    ArrVeeAussie:

    I'm moving on!

Oh, I doubt that. But if you be more than willing to prove me wrong, LEAVE THIS THREAD ALL TOGETHER. At least let it have some sort of significance and quality to it instead of polluting it with non-sense on re-run.

you 3 or 4 arguing, its a golf game. seems like your 3 guys who each believe the other is a girl. you should all meet up at a abandoned farm miles from anywhere, see if you get on...

the reason they don't make as many female avatars or give as many away is..eg.

i own a shoe shop, 99% of my customers are male. what shoes do you think i would have more of; male or female? and if i do a promotion for said shop (knowing which consumer likes me), which shoes would i give away free to draw the customer, male or female?

    do the math

there is a difference between sexism and business

seems every 'female' player here is the charcuterie of one, flowers on profiles, unicorns and daises in messages to each other on wall......

It is not a shoe shop though... its an equal game imo therefore when a promotion or a prize is given it should be of equal rights not just aimed to males as stated back in the thread somewhere why not make the choice of two different ones, one being male and the other female problem solved

    unicorns ? daisys ? no thank you ! :)

flowers yes if it is a big bocquet delivered right to my front door lol try it men once in a while lol not saying i want them my other half gets the cheap ones from the supermarket when he rolls home drunk lol :)

your missing the point, shoe shop or not, in business you target your market, in adverting we call it tier 1 targeting.

it might not be as easy as 'oh lets just make 2 avatars', you dont know the process, if they make one, they make the one most suitable for there market.

blah, blah, smiley face, blah, smiley face.

So the market then is for males only ? therefor making it a sexist business plan if that`s what you are saying correctly also its not avdertising. Did you ever play tomb raider btw bet you enjoyed running round as lara croft then

IT WAS A FREE AVATAR NOTHING TO DO WITH BUSINESS !!! IT WAS FREE IT WASN`T A PROMOTION IT WAS SOMETHING YOU WON !!! WOULD YOU LIKE TO WIN A GIMP BALL AND OUTFIT.... WELL THE PEOPLE THAT WON IT HAVE ABOUT AS MUCH USE FOR IT AS WINNING THAT !! LOL IF FEMALE !!

CANT SEE A SMILEY FACE ON MY PROFILE EITHER AND MY CAPS BUTTONS STUCK ON AGAIN GRRRRRRRR LOL YOUR FAULT MAN !!!

    Agreed, Rosey!

Nat's argument of equal rights would fit into politics - in business it's futile.

The marketing effort goes into the direction of best outcome, everything else is a waste.

And, talking about the Lexus Avatar, they chose a white male avatar which may be the most effective choice:

    - males are in majority in computers, internet, gaming,

    - males are presumably more interested in cars than females(?),

    - there is a chance that white males are the majority of Lexus buyers(???).

If these assumptions would be true (which I don't know), the existing avatar might serve for 80% of the market, each of the other three ones (don't forget the coloured female for equality's sake) might in average serve only 7 %.

Imagine you are responsible for a budget, take a pencil and ask yourself if you'd sign for 400% of the costs justified by a 25% plus of market coverage.

    Edit:

Of course it has to do with business, Nat!

They want us to show off that logo on the cap, infiltrating it into our heads combined with nice memories of a good leisure time at WGT.

Then we go and buy a car - payback time!

I won't use that avatar and I won't buy a car from them but I have at least noticed that Lexus is a well-selling brand in Germany, better than VW => successful marketing!

Otherwise, I can't follow your thoughts which - sorry to say - appear naive IMHO.

Why should WGT be obliged to respect equal rights in their business?

Should in equity a war weapon producer be committed to humanity?

    I agree to disagree.
