  Firstly congrats to Blue and Jason on your selection for the US Ryder Cup team ! 

  It has been a very difficult job for me during the last week or so to finalised my selection for the last 2 players to complete Team World for this year's Ryder Cup.  One of the best thing that came out of the qualifying rounds for me was to see the number of excellent and experience International players that participated.  It is this very reason that has caused me to spend a lot more time than i thought needed to finally came up with what I think is the best decision that will benefit the team as a whole.

  Without further delay, I'd like to announce the Captain's pick for Team World are -

  

  Geordieles performed wonderfully well in the qualifying and despite a slow start he came back strongly and posted good scores under enormous pressure in the last 2 rounds to finished in 10th place.  He's player with plenty of experience, has a very good consistent game, and proven to be an excellent player in team matches with an awesome winning record with his partner JulioMoot on the WGT Ladder's Guild.  I'm very confident this successful partnership will be a valuable part of our team.

  Infinito is considered by many to be one of the top players of this site and his record in WGT Tournaments and Ready-Gos speaks for itself.  In my analysis of a group of 15 short-listed players to be considered for Team World I've included many factors and graded the players using a points system, Infinito finished well on top.  Here is the full result:

  

  I have every confidence that Infinito will perform well in the tourney and makes many valuable contributions to the team.

  Everyone please join me in congratulating all the players that have been successful in making Team World for this year's Ryder Cup.  That completes the selection process for Team World and I'd like to thanks Seveking for his effort in putting it all together.  I'm very happy with the result as I think this has all the make up of a very strong team with the right mix of excellent players and I'm supremely confident that we'll bring home the Cup for the community of International players on WGT.

  I came back just in time.....those play by play matches in MIRC were amazing!!  Can't wait for this to start and can't wait to follow the matches again.  Good Luck to everyone, especially USA!!!!

  Glad to make the team & sorry I slouched during the qualifying rounds.  That's what happens when work blocks your fun internet access.  GO USA!

  Congrats to all the players who have prevailed in attaining top ten in the Ryder Cup Qualifying!! Not an easy task!! Congrats to the Captains picks as they so deserve to be there. Tough decisions to make by both Captains, four very good choices!! Alas it begins.........for the players, get ready for some heart pounding matches...........for the bystanders, may your beers be cold, and your flags fly high!! Team Usa kiss the Ryder Cup good bye!!  "TALLYHO TEAM WORLD!!"

  Hi Team World;

  Pleasure to be a part of the winning team this year.  I look forward to the grueling matches and at the same time having lots of fun.  Time to bring the Cup home.

       Thank you Jeff and Gary and all who have wish me well, it is a privilege to be here again and I look forward to playing the top players from around the world! I'll bring my midol to the hall of fame dinner.  I expect the Internationals Zip will play tough but as you know from last year! USA rules here :) I have began to spread the Zippy dust all over Andies as we speak. She is coming over with us LOL Hey, where did that lil Blue Duck come from :)

  Congratulations to all the selected players, and a big THANK YOU to our Captain for the time and the wisdom he had to come up with. Monty's problems were peanuts compared to yours Vic.

  I woke up late, my performance in the first 4 qualifying tourneys was poor, but I'll be back next year hopefully with better understanding of the game. But at least I was considered for the pick.

  Good luck to all (especially the Int'l Team) and may the best win (us, of course).

  Well... congratulations to the last four to join the competition. Thank you to everyone else and remember you can follow a few live matches in the IRC channel (link and explanation on front page) and you can try and win a few creds in the Ryder Cup Betting Center.

  Captains must send me a pm with the pairs tomorrow. As you both probably already know, pairs must be numbered (pair number 1 from world plays against pair number 1 from USA, etc...) and there must be eight pairs, six of them including all twelve players and two repeating the four players you think will do best.
