.. What a bloody disgrace how down here in Australia we dont get any live British Open, and now we find that we have no US Open on free to air tv...

.. Those like my self who backed this current Government, who btw guaranteed us that Top Sport would be shown on free to air tv when they introduced pay tv, have shown yet again that guarantees are very much paper thin no matter how much we want to believe them.. .. but hey, whats another broken promise.....

.. The Honorable Stephen Conroy made this pledge a few years back, and I just wonder how much this Senator was paid off by the pay tv backers, Foxtel..???

.. You would have to be an idiot to take these people for their word, but I did feel slightly confident when he made this statement, seeing how this Government is for the battlers,,, but alas money speaks louder than words, again.. ..

.. So goodonya Stephen Conroy, might make me think twice before I back the Labour Party in the next Federal election,,, but lets be totally cynical, there all a pack of lying dogs........

That is a shame...I've felt the same way about hockey in the US for some time - the only over-the-air hockey during the regular season is on Sundays.  Plus, the cable channel that regularly broadcasts game is in a high tier with a bunch of channels that border on pointless.

There are options, though, to get feeds via PC:

I believe the US Open is on CBS over the weekend and ESPN on Thursday/Friday here State-side if that help any.

yes, you should be able to catch most of it online. I'm digging for a few more sites that should have it

I've not checked them out, but sometimes some of the links given in the past have been for US audiences only (as was the case last year).  If that's the case, simply do a search for 'live sport online' or 'live golf online' and I'm sure you'll find something.

Thanks for the Links for the golf...

I'm fuming about this too... Free to Air Tv coverage of sport in this country is pathetic now.

The only thing I watch now on the normal channels is the AFL Footy and that can be pathetic at times too.

Golf is shown on Pay TV...Good if ya got.

The first two days of TV coverage here in the States of our own National Championship isn't free to air. It's being broadcast on ESPN.
