s the underdogs --- I will choose the 3 courses to be played and I will ask the opposing captain to give me their lineups first so I can do the match ups.

You want to choose the 3 course and pick the matching line ups LOL,Not if i was captain of all stars you wouldnt Lou,Anything else you would like for your team of Open winners? Maybe All stars could play Blindfolded for first 3 holes?,And who said you were underdogs? Can we have the matching players total credit earnings to justify that claim?

    lol....

Got to give it to Lou.....he's a trier....and a very decent bloke.

But picking the 3 courses to be played and do all the match ups too......sounds heavily one sided to me....and would give you a distinctly unfair advantage....Not in the true spirit of a fair challenge game whatsoever.

Should be 50/50 input between opposing Team Captains.

All Star Team Captains.....you really need to hustle for more of a say in this course choice & player match ups for the sake of your players.....else all you're gonna see is Devs playing their favourite courses/conditions Versus All Stars playing on their less preferred courses/conditions because Lou will do his homework.

It needs to be a more even set up......Neutral territory.

Don't let The Devs have it all their own way.....50% of their own way for sure.....but All Stars should get their 50% too.

    tbe

Hey all .. dealing with some personal issues here so I haven't been on a lot.

First - let me thank the organizers and all of the players for pulling together to put an amazingly strong team together.   I'll be honest - any team that bounces out players like Tiffer, Cly6, Kritzjan and TBE ... scares the heck out of me.    I'm looking forward to watching these matches unfold.

Second - regarding the rules I originally set out, while I understand Tess and TBE's thoughts, if you think about it ... I'm not sure I am being totally unrealistic.    Undoubtedly, we have 5 or 6 extremely good players who can compete with anyone.    Not to take anything away from the rest of our team --- but the next 6 or 7 are good, but will need to be at their very very best in order to compete with the All Star team.    So yes --- I was trying to even up the challenge a bit.     Keep in mind ... we are picking our team from 57 folks ... about 30 who play regularly.    The All Star team had a competition of the very best + 4 captain picks.    A much bigger field to choose players from.

Just so you know --- my preference is to see these matches take place on the hardest WGT courses --- Kia, BP and StA are like dart boards to the players in this competition.

That said ... some of you folks know me a bit ... I'm always open for suggestions.  Let me  chat with Godelescher and MBaggese and  we will come up with a solution.    As long as everyone knows - you can never please everyone.   OK ???

By the way Tess / TBE --- you give me way more credit than I deserve .. I don't really give this as much thought as you believe I do :)

Hope all is well as can be in Lou.

I've always had you down as a very fair minded sporting impresario.....that was never in doubt. You're a great team captain and great team captains always try to get the best deal for their team players.....nothing whatsoever wrong with that.

And again as we are seeing.....this is going to be one mighty fine tournament.....so well done to everyone involved.

I'm sorry I have to show a very bias side but it's all in fun............. GO GET THEM ALL STARS!!!

    TBE

Lou has suggested we alternate which side gets to match up against the other side.

Round one - Devs pick the match ups

Round two - WGT All Stars

    Round three - Devs

I think this is a workable and fair compromise for the reasons that Lou stated above and also because, out of 32 players, there is no one on either side who has not already proven themselves to be a competitor at the highest level.

    Game on.
