Try not to turn this thread into another "how to tweak your computer" dissertation Richard.

    Richard4168:
I took MisterWGT's response about the upcoming meter optimization solutions as being for the people who experience meter issues, and that it will not completely remedy a poor meter.

Anyone with experience and knowledge of computer programming will take MrWGT's statement:

"we are working on a few optimization solutions that will address some of the most common situations;  but it will not address all."

as they are changing their code to more efficiently work in our computers thus lowering the amount of CPU and/or memory resources required to run the game.

In essence, WGT is tweaking their software so we don't need to tweak our computers so much.  Those changes will come from WGT in a future release of their software so everyone will get the benefits.

    That's how I take it.

MrWGT?  Am I reading that right?

Try not to rudely tell people what to do in this thread Andyson.

That sort of stupidity deserves a forum ban. Just be thankful for what you've got.

Lighten up, Grump. They missed an opportunity to lessen the disappointment of no BO, IMO. See it for the teasing it was. MisterWGT didn't have a problem with it unlike those that have a problem with your caustic attitude.

I'm trying to keep this thread on topic.  If you think that's rude, get over it please.

I thank MRWgt for this simple statement about solving meter issues:

"we are working on a few optimization solutions that will address some of the most common situations;  but it will not address all."

Should lay to rest any claim that its all our computer's fault.

And thanks WGT for working on solutions to the meter problems in your design and code.

So does this mean... that Wgt is finally saying that the meter problems that most of us are  having is.... not our problem mostly.

It makes all the people who have defended Wgt about all these types of problems look like..... really stupid people....lol. I had to stop writing what I really wanted to call em....lol

No, I think they're saying its a shared problem.  There are optimizations they can do in their code (like any program) and optimizations we can do to our computers.  Both changes lead to a smoother meter.

I was there.  Some good info and interaction.

The one thing I might constructively say about the format was that we saw more users coming/going/rights granted/revoked/users removed for not matching passwords, didn't dig seeing ip addresses for everyone coming and going, etc - than we saw MisterWGT typing.  lol  Some criticism huh!

it was pretty neat and great set up.  I saw 110 ppl on the ole ticker.  pretty cool.

Some good information and the interview at the beginning was fun too.  'the hike up 18' and 'i knew that putt would....' was also cool.  Having Olympic here and watching on TV...wgt got it right for sure.

as to the q & a......Mister WGT is well spoken and covered plenty of bases for us members.

from Stimp rating to meter issues, to course issues, ccth & image content, etc.  All very well done.  poor icon....lurking lol.

good stuff!  perhaps just a little quicker on the keyboard next time is all I'd say.

    Thanks for doing this.

ps.....still think a staffer is needed to compliment WGTPizza - Bring on the WGTBeer
