How long until someone turns in a perfect scorecard here?

And how long until Jim sneaks into his bag for a wedge?

A perfect scorecard probably isn't going to be turned in.

I can see someone making five or six of them, but #2 and #7 are killers.

    lkennedy:

A lot of fun but a couple of oddities:

Each putt counts as a hit against ball life.  Putts aren't supposed to count, but that's in Stroke Play, so I guess understandable.

Everything counts towards CTTH stats (rounds played, coming within 20 ft of pin) except for Aces.  I realize that it's the same putt over and over, but ALL CTTH shots are repetitive.  Those putts are brutal, so what's the big deal about giving credit for actually making one?

Nice Ace on #1 Twominusone.  What did you hit for distance?  Can't seem to dial that one in yet.

This is how i played that putt, Full game screen. Placed my marker at about half way distance up the screen, and all the way to the left of the game screen.  so that the marker is way off the grid. I think it shows 30 feet or something around there, Then dialled it up to 24 feet on the 60 foot scale. Dropped it back about 6 feet then, so probably around 18 foot of power. Try it, and then dial it in from there.

BTW, did this on the reverse angle.

StoneColdKiller told me that he made four in a round yesterday.

I had a round with an ace on the first and three putts inside 2 inches, one was .09 feet didn't even know you could get that without it going in.

I posted what I thought was an awesome score, could have been about 3 better had my putt on 7 turned to the hole, only to be bested by TheLighterDark.

Someone will have a round in which they get 6 but still the putt on 1, 2 and 7 are very tough to get inside 2 feet.  Just a hint after playing for 2 hours last night.............if yo don't ace the first you have no chance of winning.  My closest on 1 without it going in is about 6 feet.

It is a ball eating challenge for sure.

That's 1 inch. So it's a question of how they measure it. I guess not from the center of the ball to the center of the cup. Perhaps the edge of the ball to the edge of the cup.

The accuracy of the putters is limited, so that even if you could theoretically set all parameters optimally, you would only be within a certain radius of the center of the cup, and presumably the radius increases with the length of  the putt (or rather the length of the putting meter used). At some point (e.g. within 20 feet) that radius might be inside the cup, but at some point the radius must extend somewhat outside the cup. In other words, there are probably only a couple of putts on this challenge that are theoretically "unmissable" if you could assume that the player selects the optimal aim, distance and ding.

We will look into the putts being counted against your ball life.  If this is happening we will fix it as soon as possible as putts should not affect ball life.

    Thanks.

I do concur with everyone else's observations that putting is affecting ball durability in this tournament.

But on the brighter side it is a welcome change to the regular CTTH, and requires alot of imagination, especially the first hole.   Risk and go for the hole, and if you miss, you are undoubtedly off the green, or play safe and roll the ball short and below the hole 6 to 7 feet.

I predict multiple perfect scores and the wedge has already been used on The Road Hole. We have 'till July 31st. It'll be done at least once within the week.

Query whether it is possible to hole that putt with a putter. Seems to me that if I play it far enough left so that it actually cuts through the fringe, it still ends up right of the hole. If I play it farther left than that, the ball gets stuck in the rough. A full shot with the 80-yard Cleveland wedge is about the right distance, depending on the wind, but the lack of spin makes the ball hard to control once it lands.
