    To all players

My week is being whittled down to nothing currently. I'm away from Friday to Monday as well so I'm very conscious that I want everything to stay on track. FJ3000 will post W3 on Saturday to allow all players to start this on time but the end of W2 will be impossible for me to manage (given that I won't have any internet access).

I'll therefore extend the R3 finish through to 12pm GMT on Monday to give more than enough time for players who make the cut to finish their rounds and allow me to catch-up on Monday with finishing off the scoring process / leaderboards etc...

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beyond this I'm going to make a call which some may disagree with but in all honesty, it'll make my running of the tour, possible for the next two weeks.

All players who've submitted scores for W2 (both rounds) will be accepted (irrespective of posting mistakes). All warnings given to players in W1 and W2 will be removed so everyone from this point forward will start with a clean slate.

All the rules will now be enforced strictly but everyone gets the chance to start afresh. Everyone's had plenty of opportunities to get used to the card / greenshot / different partner rules so the mistakes should now be minimized. I'm seeing the past two weeks as a trial run and now everything is live and valid.

Some may see this as unfair but put simply with the limited amount of time I have available and other people in the management team being away as well, it will become near impossible to look after for the next few weeks with the amount of warnings currently in place.

PM me if you have any questions on this matter as I don't want the thread to degenerate into a forum discussion about this decision. In all honesty, I don't want to have to do it but I simply have no choice given the availability I'm working around.

All current warnings removed from Tour Standings document; warnings will still show on Results master but are historical and not valid.

Any future warnings will be relevant so please ensure that all posts here forward are accurate.

    petethepup:

dear James,   i received a email saying you have my score for rd 1 (37), actually it is (36) you can verify it on pg. 5 of week 2 forums.  Also that  you needed me to submit score for round 2, which i did , it was a (35),. I will submit both rounds again and you can verify them on pg. 5  rd 1, and pg. 14 rd 2. As you can see by my scores i need every stroke i can get. lol,  take care , thank you, pete.

Think it's showing correctly on the leaderboard Pete; I had to manically get a load of PM's off last night on similar matters so it was probably a slip of the finger ;)

    pUGfANmn:

After starting R1 at +3 after 2 holes, I'm withdrawing from R1. Still debating if R2 is even worth it w/trying to play from Championship greens.  Can you play only one round of the week's tournament?

A WD from a round means that your score wouldn't be counted for the week (irrespective of the second round being posted). Next week will see different conditions so I'd suggest looking in on Saturday for the W3 thread.

    James

With the tough playing conditions, only four players have so far broken the -10 mark for the two rounds combined. AllyKennedy's stunning effort of -14 gives him a two shot advantage over Gehl13 who shot solid rounds of 30 and 29. Tiffer67 has comeback from the disappointment of not making the cut in W1 with an excellent total to match Gehl and Zant and carried on his positive form from the first week with a -11.

There's still over 28 hours to go until the cut is made and with -2 being the current cut line (provided players complete both rounds) there's the possibility of lots of new names making it through to R3 this week.

Let's see plenty of scores coming through to give us a competitive line-up for the weekend.
